With over 25 years of experience at sea, Captain Mike is the calm, capable force behind SOL SHINE’s smooth cruising. From the U.S. East Coast to the Bahamas and beyond, he’s captained yachts up to 170 feet, led complex refits, and ensured every guest trip runs like clockwork. A certified PADI Divemaster, Mike is just as happy diving coral reefs as he is navigating open water. Off duty, you’ll likely find him fishing, spearfishing, tinkering with marine engines, or swapping sea stories over a sunset drink. With a sharp technical mind, a great sense of humor, and a deep love for the ocean, Captain Mike ensures every charter aboard SOL SHINE is safe, seamless, and seriously unforgettable.
STEWARDESS- KAITLIN SEYSTER- AMERICAN
Kaitlin was born and raised in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Growing up with an immense appreciation and love for the ocean combined with her desire to travel she quickly realized yachting was the industry for her. Working on both Motor and Sail yachts over the years she has gained the experiences and creative abilities to please all of her guests. Kaitlin enjoys using her creative flair in floral arrangements and table settings making every occasion elegant. While onboard she makes her guests feel at ease knowing they have someone with such high positive energy providing them with the utmost service and care.
MATE- THOMAS TALAGA- AMERICAN
With a calm hand on deck and an adventurous spirit at heart, Thomas brings years of yachting expertise and global savvy to the crew of SOL SHINE. He’s navigated waters from the Panama Canal to the Bahamas—and probably knows more secret fishing spots than your local guide. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Polish, Thomas is also a PADI-certified diver and an avid angler who loves to share his skills with guests. Whether he's running tenders, managing deck operations, or leading a spontaneous snorkeling expedition, Thomas brings professionalism, energy, and a can-do attitude to every moment on board. When he’s not keeping SOL SHINE in shipshape, you might catch him with a fishing rod in hand, organizing an epic beach setup, or crafting the perfect playlist for sunset cocktails. With Thomas on deck, your voyage is guaranteed to be smooth, safe—and seriously fun.

With experience on busy charter yachts and private programs alike, Chef Chris knows how to keep things deliciously dialed in—whether he's serving up a five-course sunset dinner or crafting the perfect midday snack between dives. Chef Chris is more than just a master in the galley—he’s also a passionate traveler, baking enthusiast, watersports lover, and a firm believer in self-improvement.
